Our We the People Action Teams were developed by the participants of our 2021 Dialogue Series and have grown with the oversight of the Steering Committee. Dialogue Series participants were asked which issues in the community they were most concerned about and how we might address these issues. These potential areas of focus for action were discussed and prioritized using the criteria that an action must:
Be in keeping with our We the People Warwick mission to foster dialogue, greater understanding, and common ground among all people of Warwick, ensuring that every person feels welcomed, heard, and supported in the town we all love
Be broad enough to cross boundaries of difference and lead to collaborative solutions that embrace our diverse views and opinions
Be those they believed if successfully addressed, would bring the most benefit to our community
From this exercise, our We the People Warwick Action Teams were born, have grown and have been refined with the following missions.
To identify and create events and educational opportunities to foster and celebrate diversity, learning, discovery, connection, and make everyone feel a sense of belonging
